One of my favourite bands ever (The Last Dinosaurs) are making a come-back this Friday with the release of their new single EVIE. If you do not get around this release, and musically educate yourself with their past music and style before this release you will probably regret everything.
The Last Dinosaurs are an Australian indie rock band from Brisbane Queensland, the four boys made their debut in 2010 with their EP Back from the Dead, which was submitted to Triple J Unearthed and played over and over again, especially the hit track Honolulu. From there, their musical career escalated fairly quickly, with invites to play at Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival, Laneway Festival and Southbound from 2009-2011.
In the glorious month of march, in 2012, the boys released their album In a Million Years, which topped many charts due to the fact that it is fantastic.
Since then, they have played at Groovin’ the Moo festival in 2013, and have now been announced to play at Splendour in the Grass this July along with HEAPS of other huge names like The Wombats, Mark Ronson, Blur, Peking Duck, Flight Facilities, Tame Impala and many, many more! Intrigued? Great! They are said to release another (probably super impressive) album this year. But for now, let’s look back on all their fantastic tunes, get a bit nostalgic and just love life (while mentally preparing for the Friday song release).
