Club going up on a Saturday

Everyone loves a sick party. Ask your friends, ask your partner, ask your mum, sick parties are sick. As of late, an enjoyable party atmosphere has become less apparent. We put ourselves up for the odd big night, but the days of a packed Kings Cross at 4am is but a distant memory. Playing it safe by paying $40 entry at high end venues has become a routine option. Alternatively, knowing on a weekly basis where the best party crews around Sydney will be can allow you to enjoy the “freshest” parties in Sydney.

At the top end of this industry sit the boys from Dance I said, behind for events such as Courtyard Party, Your Paradise Music Festival, sideshows featuring artists such as Ten Walls, UZ, Diplo, Skrillex and Whats So Not. Dance I Said is a subsidiary or the parent company The Fake Group who are also involved in strategic marketing and music bookings for Clubs like Cargo Bar, Beach Haus and The Greenwood Hotel.

Sound Prophets is the latest project who TFG are collaborating on, which seeks to overcome problems posed by recent changes in the nightlight industry. This included the location, music genres, production quality and crowd control. They needed a venue in the right spot with the right taste and charisma to emit a radiance of excitement and comfortability. The music and production need to deliver the shock factor of Sydney’s high production clubs but at a the Quarter of the price. Finally they needed a combination of music which would complement each other and bring a collection of different crowds. They did all of those things, and Sound Prophets was re-born.

Working hard or hardly working, Sound Prophets Saturdays getting the final touches

The lineup is a mix of upcoming local acts (such as Generation Mute, Addict, Strawberry Kryptonite and Oli Hunter) and mid-range acts (such as Jesabel, Jay Sounds, Truman and Nemo), the idea being that this will be the breeding ground of Sydney’s hottest new Dj’s and Artists. The Club will feature a mix of deep, future, and tech house at the star &, finish with Electro House and go with Bounce in the middle. To go along with that, O2 nightclub have supplied Co2 cannons, LED back board, lasers, strobes, smoke and all things sugar and spice.

This is the first daring club launch  since the impact of the lockout laws a year ago. It’s intention: bring together the best local sounds and to make artists for events to come.

If anything has a chance to re-ignite our passion for a good night out, this is it.

Week one line up is HUGE;
